Life finally feels like it's starting to settle down. I can't believe I've already been at BigPxl for 2 1/2 months! And listen, I'm going to be completely honest and say ... I LOVE THIS JOB. I can't tell you how much of a relief it is to say that after working at A Beautiful Mess for nearly a decade . In other news, I have COVID right now. #Classic. Even though it's nothing to laugh about, it's funny that I've been feeling more at ease in general, excited about warmer weather, and then ... bam, COVID. Nonetheless, it's all good. Hmm ... what else? I decided to get a tattoo I've wanted for a while— my house ! A true sentiment to the term "forever home," IMHO. I wanted to do something different for this month's 10 Things post. I love sharing items that I regularly use, but my brain has been in the mood for something therapeutic (AKA surfing the web), so I'm doing a window-shopping version this time. I hope you enjoy it! I am REALLY tempted to try this $5 mascara , especially since it has over 359k reviews. I'll say it— that's a lot of reviews. I can't get over how great these vintage-inspired sign night lights are. Say hello to this granny square wallpaper . I recently smelled this candle at a friend's house and couldn't believe how great it was. We kept talking about another one of their best-selling scents, Pasta Water . I'm so curious about it! I'm 99.9% positive that my desk needs a rose gold lava lamp . I can't tell you how often I've considered buying something like this and tossing it in my backyard to see what happens. Maybe today is the day I will finally do it! I'll take one tomato ringer tee , please. I'm a sucker for novelty candles, and I never light them because I want them to last forever. Likely story. Having said that, I really want to add this slice of cheesecake to my collection. I haven't bought a purse in ages, but I'm tempted to buy this green furry tote bag . I absolutely love this brand (I've been using their foundation for years) and have wanted to try this new-ish product for a while. The more shimmer, the better , I say! P.S. Here's a link to my last 10 Favorite Things post . xoxo, Jacki

I never thought I would say that I have four jobs. I mean, technically, I have ONE full-time job and three "once in a while" jobs. I like staying busy (maybe a little too much), and they say variety is the spice of life, so... Last year, when I was figuring out my next career move, my friend Lauren at Hakaar's Bazaar asked if I wanted to help at her vintage store once in a while when she was out of town. It was a breath of fresh air during a hot summer of unemployment and uncertainty! A few months later, my friend Summer asked if I wanted to do the same thing at her local shop, Culture Flock , if someone couldn't cover a shift, and once again, I was like, "Yeahhh!" To summarize this story, I have also been helping out my friend Katie at her Springfield Mercantile Co . store, which has been wonderful. Three amazing friends, three amazing local shops. What are the odds? I love the variety, and it's a nice break from the digital marketing world (which I love, by the way). But it's also pretty nice to work at a cute, curated shop on a Saturday or Sunday once in a while. I took a chance on these shorts (it's so hard to find ones that fit right) and ended up loving them. And, they were only $20! If you like 1960s-era movies, pleaaaase watch The Apartment with Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine. It's one of my all-time favorites and a perfect comfort rewatch. Speaking of the 1960s, I found two spoon rests on Etsy that I don't need, but they're SO fun to look at. ( 1 , 2 ). For Sade fans ONLY . I was gifted some zucchini from a friend's garden and suddenly craved something I never eat: pan-fried zucchini. I dipped the slices in oat milk and coated them in gluten-free breadcrumbs before adding some seasoning and putting them in a pan with avocado oil. 10 stars! This is my go-to if you're looking for a new liquid eyeliner. It goes on seamlessly every time and lasts all day. I bought this fluffy throw pillow for my living room sofa, and (omg!) It is so cute. It's not big enough for Norman to use as a bed, but if it was ... The perfect candle for the macaroni and cheese lover in your life. Novelty candles are getting crazier and more life-like by the minute, and I'm here for it. I'm not entirely embarrassed to admit I've been watching Gypsy Rose's new reality show . I've become a gold earring person. I LOVE dangly gold earrings and want to add this pair to my little collection. That's all, folks! Until next time. xoxo, Jacki P.S. Hi there! Life has been equal parts crazy and busy lately. I started a new position at work (I'm an Inbound Specialist now, so fancy!), and I'm trying to get my bearings and understand what the heck I'm doing. As a certified perfectionist, I tend to put a lot of pressure on myself when it comes to my job. Getting promoted to a different position with more responsibility should be a compliment. Instead, my brain starts to freak out and feel overwhelmed by change. Per usual, I'm trying to remind myself that it takes time to learn and grow, and taking things a day at a time is key. Yada, Yada, and also.... Yada. ;D Here are a couple of things I'm looking forward to this weekend (and next): I'm working at Hakaars Bazaar this Saturday and Sunday (May 4th and 5th). This is my HAPPY place, and I love helping Vinnie and Lauren out when they're out of town. The Rountree Neighborhood Historic Home Tour is next weekend, May 10th and 11th, and I will be helping out at Elsie's house . Come by and say hi! I'll be wearing a spooky Victorian-style velvet dress. My kitchen rug situation was looking pretty bad, so I bought this set of kitchen mats , and I LOVE them. The pattern is perfect, and they are washable. Regardless, I have a habit of throwing everything I own in the washing machine, so this feels reassuring. I'm amazed at how much water I drink when using this bottle . Some of these "bottles" can look pretty insane, but this one is a half-gallon size and not too crazy. I drink two of them every day (plus various cans of sparkling water), and I finally feel properly hydrated! This brand is so cool and fancy, but I'm too cheap to splurge on their perfume. They have a customizable sample set option that I'm really tempted to buy. Should I do it? Here's a link to my "never better" skeleton t-shirt. It's hilarious and very relatable, IMO. My boss was wearing it (in black) last week, and I quickly ordered one of my own. I shared my spare room and open closet makeover a few weeks ago. I love having a T.V. and sofa in there— it's the perfect alternative to hanging out in my living room. I stumbled across this Etsy shop and saw this matching plant stand and planter set that would look pretty good on my porch. It took me way too long to start watching Succession , but here we are. I'm hooked . This "viral lip stain" (what a funny thing to say) is still on my list of things to try. I don't understand how it works, but I WANT it. In my quest to buy cheap shoes and sandals so I can ruin my feet, I ordered a pair of cloud sandals to wear while I'm doing stuff around the house and walking Norman. Last but not least, I've been using this face oil for about a month, and it works like a charm; it's filled to the brim with natural ingredients, and it's affordable. 10/10 stars. P.S.
